Parental Information:  Her father died of AIDS and her mother (Kugonza Topista) was left alone to raise six children.  She digs and sells food to earn money, but she is unable to provide for all of the needs of her children.

Sibling Information:  She has two brothers (Twesige Rodger and Byamukama John) and three sisters (Namara Ireen, Murungi Teddy, and Karungi Beatrice).

School Information:   Margaret does not attend school, but she wishes she could go to school.

Church Information:  Margaret attends Katoosa Catholic Church.  She likes going to church.

Child’s Home Duties:  Fetching water, sweeping the courtyard, and caring for brothers and sisters, especially her baby sister.

Child’s Favorite Activities:  Singing.

Child’s Favorite Games:  Singing, hide and seek, and net ball.

Child’s Favorite Food:  Rice and beef.

Child’s Career Goal:  Margaret wants to be a nurse when she grows up.

Child’s Top Three Needs:  Clothes, bread, and yellow bananas.

Child is Happy When…  She is given new clothes.

Additional Information:   The mother is caring for six children by herself.  They stay in a small grass thatched house.   The mother says Margaret’s greatest needs are clothes, shoes, a mattress, and a bed.
