Parental Information:  Her father died of AIDS, and her mother (Birungi Beatrice) is infected with AIDS.  Her mother is very weak and is unable to work.  She tries to dig to grow food for her family.  At times, Elizabeth has to be the primary caregiver for her other sisters and brothers because her mother gets very ill.

Sibling Information:  She has one brother (Isingoma Adolf) and two sisters (Nyakato Mary and Kiiza Mary).

School Information:  Elizabeth attends Kijwiga Primary School.  She is in sixth grade.  She enjoys going to school.  However, ElizabethÔø‡Ôø‡Ôø‡s school attendance is not always consistent because of the poor health condition of her mother.

Church Information:  Elizabeth attends Hakatoma Church of Uganda.  She likes going to church.

ChildÔø‡Ôø‡Ôø‡s Home Duties:  Fetching water, collecting firewood, digging, washing dishes, and caring for younger brothers and sisters.

Additional Information:  Her mother is caring for four children in a small two-roomed grass thatched house.  She was diagnosed in May 2008 and began to receive treatment.  She takes ARVÔø‡Ôø‡Ôø‡s, but is unable to pay for Ceptrine so she does not take that medication.  The mother says ElizabethÔø‡Ôø‡Ôø‡s greatest needs are schooling and a house.
