Parental Information:  His father died of AIDS and his mother (Basemera Lillian) is severely sick with AIDS.  She does not always stay with Jonan.  If she is well, she goes to Kampala.

Guardian Information:  His grandmother (Kakuliremu Lucy) is caring for him.  She is employed as a primary (elementary) teacher.   

Sibling Information:  He has one sister (Ihunde Liz).  

School Information:  Jonan attends Katoosa Primary School.  He is in first grade.  He enjoys going to school.

Church Information:  Jonan attends God’s Care Church.  He likes going to church.

Child’s Home Duties:  Fetching water, collecting firewood, grazing cattle, and washing dishes.

Child’s Favorite Activities:  Playing games.

Child’s Favorite Games:  Running, jumping, and football.

Child’s Favorite Food:  Posho (flour and water mixture), rice, potatoes, and peas.

Child’s Career Goal:  Jonan wants to be a doctor when he grows up.

Child’s Top Three Needs:  Mattress, clothes, and a suitcase.

Child is Happy When…  He receives food and clothes.

Additional Information:  The grandmother is caring for fifteen people in a four-roomed house.  The grandmother says Jonan’s greatest needs are a mattress, shoes, clothes, and milk.
